First went into the branch on sun 14 july for 2 new tyres. Was given a quote, told the tyres were not in stock and they would call me on monday to let me know when they would be in. No call mon, tues or weds. Went back in on thursday and spoke to different man, he had no record of my order so he took details again, said the tyres were not in stock, said he would give me a courtesy call the next day to let me know tyres were in. Again, no call. Went back in on sunday, spoke to a different man, he said they had not been ordered, but he would order them and they would be in monday. Went back in monday and spoke to the original man, (the manager) and he said the tyres were in but they were £95.00 each and there was no way he would have given me a quote for £60.00 each (which he had) I didnt think i had the quote with me. Eventually, after some discussion about budget, mid range and any other type, he stroppily said "well we will just put them on" i then went through my bag and found the quote, he just shrugged and said nothing. There was only one other chap in the waiting room, it was gone 5pm, they eventually put my car on the ramp, and i took over an hour to finish the job.in this depot you can see out the back, and the older chap was sat in his car smoking for nearly the whole hour. The young chap did all the work. When it came to pay, the manager said to the assistant manager, please can you sort the ladys bill out, im going for a fag. I felt so humiliated by this time, the thought of asking if it was in the buy one get one free deal was out of the question! I dont know if it was me personally that they took a dislike to, or if it is women in general who dont have a clue about tyres, but it was a really bad episode. I have used this branch before and never been made to feel like this. I will be going elsewhere in future, and probably taking a bloke with me. I am a very independant person, it takes alot to make me feel like i did. Still they take the money.
