On Jun 1 we sent our computer (a DELL Inspiron laptop) responding to an ad in a local flyer, to Authorized Laptop Repair, 3740 Fernandina Rd, Columbia, SC 29210 (803) 772-2800. The following week we called to check the status and were told that the computer had been fixed and that they just needed our credit card number to charge the repairs and they would send back to us via UPS. We waited several days after that and the computer did not arrive. We called (many times) and "you need to speak to Bob but Bob's not here", "Bob will call you back", or"I don't have access to that computer" were the norm for responses. No calls were ever returned. When we did get a hold of Bob, he would begin most conversations with "you didn't receive it yet? It should have been there by now". When we finally started asking for a tracking number he would never have one, or he would have to call UPS, or I'll call you back. No callbacks. I recently contacted UPS and they say that
he is not a customer. They could find no record of our computer being shipped back to us. I will be disputing the Credit Card charge but I'm afraid we will never see that computer again unless your website can help.
