Ripoff Without even looking at my computer dell told me it was the mother board that needed replacement

I spilled a small amont of beer on my Dell laptop. The computer shut down and when I restarted it the computer gave me an error message telling me the computer shut down because it became to hot. It did this a few more times so I called around to find someone to look at it. But when it comes to laptop computer hardware problems. It seems like nobody knows or wants to work on them, so I called Dell support. My computer is out of warranty so I knew I was going to pay. Without me even sending the computer in to Dell or a tech really asking me any questions they told me it was either the cooling fan or the mother board had been damaged and that they were running a special on mother board repair and it would only cost me $433.00, regular price around $500. Me being stupied at the time agreed to have them fix it and I gave them my credit card info. But before I got off the phone with the guy and while I was on hold I turned my laptop on and it came up normal so I had second thoughts. So when he took me off hold and started giving me some info I told him what had happen and told him I had second thoughts and did not want them to repair my computer. He told me they had already charged my credit card. I told him fine, uncharge it. He told me he could not do this and if I wanted to send it later I could but I was being charged reguardless. After some strong words and me asking to to talk to a manager he put me on hold again. When he returned he said they could cancel the transaction but it would take a few days. I'm sorry you can debit a credit card but you can't credit it! The points of this complaint is. 1. How can any reputable company diganose a problem over the phone that it's cause could involve two different parts. And then want to charge you for and replace one of the most expensive parts on the computer reguardless if it was the cause of the proplem or not. 2. During a transaction reguarding such a large amonut how can a company basically say sorry you gave us your credit card info. We got your money and we are not going to give it back.
