I've been a magic jack customer for several years. I always paid for another year at the beginning of January. So on 1/09 I filled out the online form and purchased another year of magic jack service. The $20.91 was charged to my Mastercard.
But on 1/21 I get an email from magic jack saying that the cost has gone up and is now $29.95. I called the billing department and spoke with someone who barely speaks English, and he told me if I want to keep the magic jack service, I have to pay another $10 dollars. That really got me steaming... I think that since I paid for the year BEFORE the magic jack company decided to raise the price, I should get the usual $19.95 for this year. But since the guy on the phone upset me, I told him to credit my Mastercard with the money I already paid. So hopefully he understood that I want a refund for the $20.91 I already paid out. I've been a loyal customer to magic jack, but I guess being loyal doesn't mean anything anymore. So magic jack... Give my money back, and we can part friends.
