I reserved a truck more than 2 weeks in advance. When I went to pick up the truck, I was told that someone spoke with me yesterday to tell me that I needed to go to a different Uhaul distributor. Clearly I would have remembered if someone had spoken to me less than 24 hours before and I wouldn't have wasted my own time running around if they had actually told me that. Then I go to the next place that supposedly has my truck, and they have no trucks available to rent either. They called other local distributors and the closest place that had a truck that could rent to me was 90 miles away and they said I could have it if I wanted to go get it there. Keep in mind that they charge for extra mileage. Not only did they not have a truck for me with a several week ahead reservation, they wasted my time and gas running around trying to find a truck that they never had to begin with. They didn't even give me any advance notice to deal with this situation and I have to move for a job that starts in 3 days.
