I purchased a used engine and was told i had a 30 day warranty. I was not given a written warranty. After installing the engine i realized the engine was defective. I contacted the salvage yard and was told to return the engine for a refund. Upon returning the engine an employee came and looked at the engine and stated the warranty was voided because the engine was overheated. I explained to him the head gaskets were defective and the engine will overheat when that happens. I further explained to himthat the engine was purchased that way. The employee stated that heat sensing tabs were placed on the engine at purchase and the tabs were good when placed on the engine and now they are bad. I asked why was i not shown the tabs after they were placed on the engine to prevent doubt. He had no response. I also stated i was within the 30 days i was told was warranty time for the engine. I asked for a written copy of the warranty and none was provided.
I also spoke to a male and female who appeared to be the owners and they stated they had nothing to talk to me about because the warranty was voided on the engine i purchased
