Verizon has ignoerd my emails, phone calls (impossible to get a real person most of the time), ignored appointments and when finally after many were made and no-shows, a Verizon man came and completely did the OPPOSITE of what he was suppose to do - which was to hook up a new line for my house phones that stopped working when I was forced to go to their DSL. So for about two years now I have been charged for a phone line and service I did NOT have. Plus I was paying a speical inside wire insurance with them for many years and the first time I needed to use it, the man they sent out refused to do it. He instead of hooking up a new phone line so my phones would work, he cut all connections to my phones and then just left. I have been paying all this time for a service I did not have and they refused to hook up, yet kept charging me for. [They would have the exact date the DSL began - when my phones stopped working, in their records]. I've tried all this time to get this situation fixed and Verizon has ignored it. But they had no problems to keep charging me for services I did not get or have. They also guaranteed to keep the GTE contract going for those of us who were long time customers of GTE, before they took it over. They lied. They kept making changes right from the start. They also, as part of that guarantee, were never to interfere with our established web sites - but they recently stopped all our personal FTP activity so we could not reach/access our own web sites. They were again forcing us to change over to only their FTP and web forms. I have had an educational web site up for over 23 years that I paid them extra for since they charge for over 2 MB of space. Verizon thinks it is too big to be touched, or need to stay within the law. They seem to have no problem with fraud, extortion, etc. Maybe because they are not an American company? Their headquarters are in Mexico. They also charge 'late fees' when you are not late, or if you do not pay their bill in full, including their fake charges. Verizon has been problematic since they took over the good company of GTE several years ago, GTE - the company I was with and had the contract with that Verizon guaranteed they would honor, but havn't.
