Tri Counties Bank
Unfair Collection Practices

Company repossessed my car with out any written or verbal notice, they towed my car one week after they received a partial payment of $400 out of $600. I offered to pay the past due amount and they refused to negotiate and want it the full amount of $7,800 in order to recover the car. They were very rude on the phone, Laura was the person I spoke to, I don't know her last name, but she was extremely rude. I told her that the we were having a hardship, and that i had all intentions of paying the past due amount, which was not even a month late, and she told me that she did not care and was not her problem, that if I wanted the car I had to paid full amount. I stayed with them 5 years making payment and they couldn't work with me. If you are reading this, please stay away from tri Counties Bank, and if you are a Manager of this branch, train your personnel to have a little education and manners to treat customers right, they are very rude, and unpolite. Tri Counties bank don't care about the customer only about getting your hard earned money.

They claimed that I was passed due for December and January, I made the payment for December, which they posted on the 23rd. My payments were due the 5th of every month plus a 10 day grace period, which makes it the 15th before a payment is consider delinquent, therefore, after making the December payment, which was posted on the 23rd of December, my January payment will be due on the 15th of january counting the 10 day grace period. My car was repossessed on the 13th of January and that was before my grace period expiration, so i don't understand why the took action to repossessed my car when the had received December payment and January's payment was not even delinquent. At this time my cars value is approximately $15,000, what I owed on the car was half of that, so clearly they wanted to auction my car so they could receive more money, since I had already paid most of the loan for five years. I will appreciate all your help in reviewing this case, and thank you in advance.
