I attempted to book a flight this evening and although my account was charged, the ticket was never booked. When I attempted to find a customer service number, I was unable to find a number listed on the website. I ended up using the online chat. Which was not helpful at all. The people spoke to me as though I was unintelligent and did not understand what the problem was. Meanwhile they had no listing of my flight anywhere and kept trying to have me rebook the flight. I was finally directed to the customer service phone number; which provided little help. The representative also tried to make me rebook the flight and did not understand that I had already been charged for the flight. After extensive explaining, she attempted to cancel the charges, which will take another 3 to 10 business days. Now I cannot book the flight until the funds are returned to my account. When I asked if there was anyway to have the price from today when I was able to remake the purchase, I was told that prices change and that it was unfair and implausible to have a guarantee such as that. This has honestly become the worst experience I have ever had booking a flight and I can guarantee that none of my friends or family will be booking with orbitz now either. I can not believe how unfriendly and disrespectful the staff was. I have purchased many flights online and never have I had as many problems as with Orbitz booking.
