Watch Out — I had a really bad customer experience. I don't know if this is false advertising or not, legally speaking, but it is deceptive, in my opinion.
The "trial" is a really a hook to make you inadvertently enroll in a recurring shipment program. Further, the trial is a full product that will be charged, at higher than their recurring charge rate, soon after your trial shipment arrives. These details are there if you scroll through pages under their terms and conditions, but obscured.
I read the fine print packed with the shipment and immediately called to start the return process. Not only would I be charged for the "trial" product in 7 more days (my bad, I didn't read carefully enough), but they would then start charging me for auto-shipment/refill service soon thereafter.
They were very difficult on the phone. It took several calls before they answered. When I eventually got someone on the phone, I was steadfast in my request for an RMA. They kept trying to discuss it; offered a lower price; recommended using the time period and call back; are you sure, most people are raving; eventually, hold while we generate an RMA number...
When they came back with an RMA number, they said as a courtesy they are enrolling me in a trial of some coupon/savings service. They flashed through a lengthy infomercial and disclaimer, without taking a breath. It sounded the same, free stuff, short period to evaluate, a monthly fee ensues thereafter. I flatly requested, several times, that they NOT enroll me in anything else. I assume they won't, but they were very pushy.
I very seriously doubt the product is even above average. A decent quality product doesn't need these tactics.
Products are certainly available without the sleaziness I perceived with Pura Silk.
