We reserved a group of rooms for our company for an event in Boulder City. Prior years we had stayed at the Hacienda at $29 per night. Our employees had started to complain that the cleanliness and the quality of the rooms was getting worse each year.in an attempt to keep them happy I made reservations at the Boulder City Inn & Suites at $69 per night, figuring that $40 more per night would give us clean, decent, rooms. When our founder checked in 3 days before the event, for another event he needed to attend, he called me and said that it was WORSE than the Hacienda. At that time I called another employee that was with him and confirmed that this was the case. They both said it was uninhabitable (questionable sheets, crappy bed covers, frayed towels, stinky rug), so we reserved another hotel this time through our travel agent. It was 25 minutes from the event, but worth the drive. I cancelled all my rooms with 72 hours notice, and I know that they rented them because this event attracts thousands of people. Yet they claimed that I needed to cancel by August 28th and refused to give me even a partial refund.
