I reserved 4 rooms with double beds 3 months ago for our youth group to attend a yearly big youth conference. I made the reservations that early to avoid any problems with all the hotels always being over booked for this event. Since we as a church do a lot of traveling I am very familiar with some procedures when it comes to using credit cards. So at the initial time of booking our rooms I was very clear with the person who took my reservations that it was our youth and leaders only, I would not be present but the bill was going to be paid with my credit card. As a Gold member of Hilton, many times they will send me a form to sign and send copies of my card and drivers license then I fax it back. I insisted, but was told no I did not need it. Well found out early this morning that our KIDS did not get the rooms I had booked months ago. They even showed them the confirmation papers. I hope that you will try to understand my frustration that we booked according to the number of kids that went with just enough supervisors. So whether Frieda the manager was giving us 4 more rooms for free, did not matter. These kids are all under 15yrs old. We could not possibly leave them in a room by themselves, plus the rooms were all spread out. I could not be more disappointed with the treatment and how unprofessional this Hilton is. Our event took place on 4-13, I even called on Thursday the day before and begged again for that form and confirmed our rooms were secure. Gentlemen assured me it was all in the system and that I should print the confirmation papers. I would hope that you understand when it comes to the safety of our kids.
