This is an UPDATE on my report on 5th November. My recent credit card statement shows debits of £74.95 £51 £74.95.
The first payment I have lost as I did not return 'sample' in 12 days. This is clearly written in their terms & conditions - so no argument. The £51 is not even mentioned on their website or in their T & C's and there is no mention of any product costing this amount. The operator said that 'Revitol Eye' lotion was sent as a goodwill gesture - but no mention of this having to be returned or charges would apply. I am reporting this to the credit card company. The second £74.95 has been refunded (confirmed by credit card operator) after long discussion on phone with Serum operator. They wanted sample returned AND tracking details. We had no tracking details and no mention was made that it would be necessary before getting refund.
However, I appear to have got something back. The big issue is the £51 and is possibly the one area that could be violating consumer laws. The T & C's clearly refer to the £74.95 and a 12 day trial period so READ THE SMALL PRINT.
