Re: Complaint about Esso Station at Finch/Kennedy
Yesterday, Jan 23 at around 5pm, I filled up my tank with Regular gasoline priced at 1.139 cents per liter. An hour later, I realized from the printed receipt that I got charged $1.269/liter instead.
To check it out, at 6:30pm, I went back to the same pump and repeated the fillup operation making sure to press REGULAR button, which showed 1.139. As soon as I started filling up, however, the price immediately switched to $1.269.
My question is twofold:
1) Did I actually get Premium gasoline?
2) Whether or not I did, should I not have been refunded the difference by the gas station, and not by Esso itself?
The cashier was rude, insisted that I deal directly with Imperial Oil, and told me to get out of the way as other people were in line.
