Great Value Cherry Pie Filling Sweetened With Splenda Spoiled Recipe

I bought a can of Great Value pie filling, I didn't read the label and it was sweetened with Splenda!!! My recipe of cherry bread was spoiled because the cherries had an aftertaste. Why would anyone goof up cherry pie filling?
