Does Not Notify Consumer to fill Rain Checks

Over the period of three years this company never called, or notified by mail, when rain check items were back in stock. There were two stores in town, but now one is closing. Oh my! Why would that be??? Neither store ever, during the time frame of 3 years, ever notified me, or others known to get rain checks from K-Mart.

On one item, I decided to wait to see what might happen. 90 days later I finally went to the store to talk to customer service. BUT - I had been going to the store in question every week to check on the item. It was in stock after 10 days. This applies to dog food, light fixtures, computer parts, and other items for which I received rain checks.

They never called, never notified me, didn't want to, weren't going to. Does K-Mart really wonder why they are in bankruptcy? If a customer wants an advertised item it's a disappointment to get a rain check instead. However, there is no excuse for K-Mart to not follow up in filling the rain checks.

Older consumers remember 30 years ago when K-Mart fingerprinted and photographed people as part of their check approval process. We didn't like it then, don't like getting slapped in the face by K-Mart now, and I personally think they are well on their way to a full going-out-of-business bankruptcy similar to Montgomery Wards.
