Momentum Marketing - Cydcor
Momentum Marketing, AKA Cydor is a waste of my time. They're liars. Rip-off!

What a waste of my time for four months. I applied on monster.com thinking that it was an awesome marketing job. I went to my first interview all dressed up in a business suit. The office is really small, so I wondered where in the world I could possibly be place if I were hired.

I go in for the interview and I am asked what about my personality I think would best suit me for a marketing job with there company. I am also asked what is most important to me in a job and I was given atmosphere, money, or people I worked with. What an odd question to ask someone on a professional interview. Anyway all they told me about there company was that they market for very prosperous fortune 500 companys. Sounds great Right? NOT!

When I left the interview they told me that if I was invited back for a second interview I would be with one of the employees all day who would show me what I was to do on the job. I got called back for the second interview. I came back all dressed in business attire to walk around all day pitching businesses trying to get them to change their phone company or sign a contract.

The girl that I went out with on my second interview made it seem so easy. She told me that at first you make about $800.00 per week (which by the way is not so much true). After you move up to assistant manager in about 3 months you make a salary of $50,000 a year, and then within a year of working there you move up to manager making $100,000 or more per year. Who wouldn't get excited about this? She made it seem so easy and made the job sound like so much fun.

That evening I was hired on, and I started the next day. We had meetings every morning... What a crock. They would have someone give some stupid motivational speech, we would go over our goals for the day, play little kindergarden games, and practice what we say when we go into businesses.

Then for the day I was on my own pitching businesses. Getting lots of NO's everyday from busy business owners. After your day in what they called the field was over you you go back and ring stupid bells and gongs depending on how much commission you made that day. I quickly found out with a 4 year college degree that I was making around $500.00 a week before taxes. What a crock for someone with a college degree. Not to mention I was using my own gas money, and having to pay outrageous amounts for crappy benefits. I was even working 12 hours per day.

I worked there for about 4 months only b/c I couldn't find another job. I probably would have been better off working for some fast food joint! We got two weeks off for Christmas. I came back the first day after the Holidays very unenthused... I didn't want to get out of the bed, but I did. When I got there I really didn't want to be there.

Then I was told I was to take someone out for an interview that day. I panicked b/c I didn't want to tell another person all the bull that I had been told, maybe making them turn down another job to waste their time working for Momentum Marketing/Cydcor. When they told me this I just said I can't do it and I quit with out even thinking about it. I wasn't going to lie, trick, and deceive someone like I had been tricked. I didn't work for 2 months, but it was worth being unemployed not to work there anymore.

To whomever is reading this. Please don't let a cydcor company trick you like they tricked me into working for them. It is just a big scam. Plus, while working there I found out that most of the people who make it into Mgt can run the business and if fails (And really only about 1% of people who work there actually make it that far)... So they to wasted there time for nothing.
