I moved and in doing so called AT&T to move my service to my new home and said I wanted all the identical features & services I had in my previous home.

AT&T agreed to move my service as they are the provider in the area I moved to. They PROMISED I would have every phone feature and DSL the way I had it in my old home and transfer it to my new one. They even PROMISED they would do it at a promotional rate for 1 year since it was a new number in a new area so it would be treated as a new account.

I moved. The phone was on. There was NO DSL. I called techs dept and they said there was no DSL cause there was NO order put in to turn it on.

I called customer service in the morning who told me they never had an order put in to turn it on. Then told me there was NO DSL here (I know for a fact there is) so they FORCED me to take their new U-verse fiber optic modem instead with 4 hour battery back up box besides.

I moved on the 30th, the service was to be ON on the 30th. They didn't send a tech till the 12th (2 weeks late). The first tech came and was so nasty and arrogant that his own dispatcher pulled him off the job. Then they sent over TWO techs. And both the techs AND AT&T customer service PROMISED me that there would be no issues with the phones in the home with the U-verse at all. That everything would work fine. I even said I have a corded phone should there be a blackout that I can still get a dial tone which you cannot get with a cordless in blackout. They said that would work fine.

The techs REMOVED the jack in my livingroom and put their U-verse jack instead and then hooked up the U-verse modem to it and plugged in the phone and the computer.

My corded bedroom phone then did not work. There was NO dial tone at all. I thought maybe it was the phone so I went out and bought a NEW PHONE and charged it all night and in the morning there was NO DIALTONE on it at all.

I called AT&T and they put me through to U-verse tech dept and I told them about the issue & the new phone, at which time they told me THAT ONLY THE PHONE THAT IS HOOKED UPTO THE UVERSE MODEM WILL HAVE SERVICE-THAT NO OTHER PHONE JACK IN THE HOUSE WILL HAVE A DIAL TONE ONCE THE UVERSE IS INSTALLED.

They lied again. I told them I MUST have phones in my bedrooms and all as I am DISABLED and I cannot NOT have a phone in my room should there be a medical or other emergency - I cannot run to a cordless phone 2 rooms away then and that I was PROMISED that ALL the jacks in the other rooms in the home would NOT be effected by the Uverse and that I would have dialtone throughout.

They told me they would send a tech out to correct it and that I would only have the Uverse on the computer and they would FIX the phone issue by removing the phones from that. At my cost as the bundles package promised for internet and phone for the first year was $59.00 fees & taxes with uverse and now without it the phone alone would cost me $64 before fees & taxes and the internet $15 for the first year then $34 after that! All because they lied to begin with!

They promised they would have a tech here right away to correct it... It took 12 days... That was a lie

They promised all my phones in my home would work fine with uverse and there would be no problem... Another lie

They promised i would get a $110 refund credited as it was within the first 30 days and that was a lie

They promised a tech would come on the 17th and they never even booked the appointment... Another lie

They promised they would correct the billing due to it not working as promised from day 1.. And didnt. Another lie

Now tomorrow they are sending out a tech (maybe) to try to correct the phone issue but i was told by another tech there that in fact once the uverse is installed that it cannot be uninstalled which would mean that i will never have a working home phone if they come and mess up the jacks and the wires uninstalling it and i am disabled and must have immediate access to a phone should there be an emergency as i cannot walk far to find help or call elsewhere (what if it is in the middle of the night) and i do not have a cell phone!!!

At&t - one lie after another lie after another lie after another lie

They put you on hold and keep you on the phone at least an hour before you even get to speak to anyone and then they put you through to the wrong extention in the wrong department then the final outcome is yet another lie that they have no intention of doing. Tell you whatever story they can come up with... And still nothing is done right or true. Or not a lie!!!
