We recently changed the internet service from regular 3G to 6G U-VERSE.
We called because we were having problems with connections. The rep from AT&T told us that U-VERSE was available in our area and that they were promoting the service.
Everything sounded good so we decided to go ahead and take the rep's advise.
The first tech who came out to work on the system flat out refused to work on it because the telephone system that we had would not work with other numbers that we had. I explained that the internet service was on the same # as the fax #. The tech. Then said that I would have to reschedule for someone else to come out because it would require many calls to have the AT&T re-issue and have the internet working on the same # as the fax.
We waited one more week for another tech to come out.
This time the tech said that he can try to work on it. He was more positive and was able to finish the job in about thirty minutes. It took some calling but he did it.
The internet service was up but it kept getting disconnected. We called and the tech. Said that, from the records that he was reviewing for the past few days, it looked like we were having issues with "line errors from outside".
He sent out a tech to take a look and he told us that they have a U-VERSE station that is too far from where we are.
Our question to AT&T is, why do they promote something that is not available to everyone as if it is.

We would not complaint if it happened to us only at one location (business) but exact same thing happened at our home as well.
