Consumer Report

I received June billing and saw that they had charged me $331.00 in interest. I called and they said that since I did not pay for the purchase in full by June 6th that I was charged interest. I said I understood that, but is it not on the balance owed, which was $451.00? They said no, it is on the original purchase, and that was around $1300.00. I went through two people and was upset. I told them they need to make this clear when people purchase items. I have paid over and above the monthy payment. I did expect to pay interest on the remaining balance of about $451.00 if not paid in full. I called again on 7/29 and spoke to two people, Anand and his supervisor of Collections, Helen, offering to pay this in full. The $451.00 pluse two months interest on the balance and even a $15.00 late fee that moment with my ATM card. She said it was policy and they would not except it. I was furious. They said if i had called within a 30 period after I was billed in June for the past interest they would have worked with me. NO ONE told me this when I originally called and spoke to two people when I received my billing in June. I told them I am on disability, 62 and can not pay all that interest and I felt they were less than honest. She told me again, it is policy. So I told them that I was going to file bancrupcy and now they would get nothing. They did not seem to care. I am willing to pay them and they don't want it? What is happening? I hope NO ONE goes to Best Buy aver again and I will pursue my quest at that. I can not believe they would rather not get paid then work with someone who is willing to pay it off plus the interest on the balance owed? They will not work with a disabled older person and I think that is discrimination.
