Care Credit billed me $800 on a $500 balance due. When I called them they said that because I didn't pay off my card the previous month that they were billing me interest on the full balance of what I originally charged which was $3000. I had paid the balance down to $500. They said that my no interest time had expired and that there was a notice on my bill. When I went back to look at the bill the print was so small I could barely read it and when I finally made it out it only said that I would be charged interest the following month. That says to me that I would be charged interest on my balance owed... Not on the total beginning charge!
No one would help me and after speaking with 3 different people I got a person in their legal dept. On the phone that actually hung up on me. They all said in the nastiest tones that they were within their rights to charge me that kind of interest. When I got a supervisor on the phone I was crying and had a hard time speaking and he told me not to waste his time.
I'm 54 yrs. Old and have been in business for 17 years and have never been confronted with anything like this.
