I just checked my July statement online and saw I was assessed a small interest charge. I paid my June balance off in full, so I called Chase to have them remove the interest charge. GET THIS they calculate their interest by your AVERAGE DAILY BALANCE. I was told that in order to have no interest charges, I had to pay my monthly balances in full for two months in a row, then I would not receive an interest charge the 3rd month.
I argued with Chase's rep, but they don't care. I paid my June balance off in full, which included a finance charge from May because I was unable to pay May off in full. Now, even though I paid June off in full, I'm being charged interest again because I didn't pay May off in full. Does this make sense to anyone out there besides chase? My advice never do business with this company. I'm switching to a different credit card company.
