Cheveux Belfast - Discount Coupons

I purchased the Groupon voucher for:

"Three men's wash, cut and finish sessions including head massage."

@

Cheveux

Unit 7 High Street, Hi-Park Centre,
Belfast

Needing a haircut I rang Cheveux on a Saturday to use my voucher for a haircut and head massage.

When I rang I was immediately asked "Are you Groupon?". I confirmed that I would be using a Groupon voucher. The woman sighed and asked for the number and security code. She then told me that she was booked up and to call back. No problem.

Called back on the Monday. Same woman asked if it was a Groupon voucher.

After I confirmed that was the case she launched into a tirade against Groupon, accusing the company of taking £3000 from her and that all the vouchers she has been given do not work. I found this hard to believe but sympathised with her. I again attempted to make an appointment. After she did some more ranting about Groupon she asked for my voucher number and security code.

She then told me that the code isn't valid and that I used it "sometime last week." I assured her that this wasn't the case. I was then told my appointment was for 1.30pm. At 1.20pm I arrived at the Cheveux premises. When I entered the same woman was cutting an older woman's hair. She looked at me and sighed.

The exchange went like this:

Cheveux: "Yeah?"

Me: Hi, I have an appointment for 1.30pm. Think we spoke on the phone?

Cheveux: "I haven't had a lunch yet. I need to go for a smoke."

Me: "Oh right sorry but I did make an appointment."

Cheveux: "Yeah well can I at least have a smoke?"

Me: "Sure if you want".

She then began to rant again about Groupon. This was quite embarrassing as other customers were present. She said she only gets £3 and the Groupon get the rest. Then she said claimed she is working for free.

I told her that she needed to raise her concerns with Groupon as I don't work for them and am just a customer.

She continued to shout about working for free, not getting money and not having lunch. I got up to walk out and told her "Don't worry I've changed my mind".

The woman began shouting at me: "You won't get a haircut any cheaper... Do you think you'll get cheaper? You won't. You won't get a refund either."

I told her that her behaviour was unacceptable and left. I found the experience to be surreal.
