I bought two vouchers for a local hair salon and used one (All About Hair). It was a disaster. It was a truly unprofessional result. Also the salon itself was very dirty with a very slovenly approach to everything. I ended up going to a reputable salon a couple of days later to get my cut and colour fixed, which cost twice what I had paid for the Groupon voucher. I wrote to Groupon immediately, and asked for a refund for the second voucher, within their stated terms of seven working days. I haven't received any response from them. I emailed them twice more and tried ringing their customer helpline twice, but gave up after being on hold for more than 30 minutes both times. I think Groupon is a scam and I would never buy a voucher from them again. I have registered the complaint with the Consumer Association, but I will keep pursuing this refund with Groupon, too. They have an obligation but are refusing to meet it.
