The week of March 21 I was sent a mailer/voucher with an "equal housing" symbol saying that I was qualified for a "Government" home loan modification, with no credit check, no worries on late payments, and foreclosure rescue. A couple days later, I called them and left a message indicating that I was interested in the program since it was government funded. Early the next morning they return my call, ask me to provide them with income, debt, expense information and advised me that I was approved, gave me a case number, and told me not to make a payment June. Then they proceeded to say that all I have to pay was $895 for a software license fee that would accelerate the process, and that is was "tax deductible." A few hours later, the money was out of my account and it was impossible to reach them. My representative was "Perry" and "Andrea." A week later I was sent a package with one piece of paper saying what information to mail to my lender. That is it! They never contacted my lender! Took $895 just to do what I could've done myself! Now my home is in foreclosure because I didn't make a payment since no payment was due until June, and I was cheated $895! This is just not right! I have four minor children and I am a single mother! These people should be locked up! Please help so this horrific thing will not happen to anyone else!
