Right Size Smoothie charged me for shipments I never received, and of which should not have been shipped, but for their error. To date, they have refused to refund my money or contact me in response to my refund request. My bank requested a refund and Right Size refused, blaming their error on me.
This is what happened. Approximately April, I placed a request for a free trial order via Right Size's voice mail order service, authorizing a shipping charge only. However, I never received the order and assumed that it was not processed. However, months later when I reviewed my quarterly statement, I noticed unauthorized charges in two separate amounts, one of which was quite large, approximately $118.
I contacted the company several times, and was treated with disdain, as if I had did something wrong. A representative advised that I had provided a PO BOX, which was not allowed for shipments. When I questioned the representative as to why the order was processed then, she had no immediate reply. After a moment or so, she responded that the company did a search and located a physical address for me, of which they never bothered to verify with me, and proceeded to ship me the trial and later shipment, anyways. Needless to say, I never received the shipments, because I didn't live at the address the company shipped to; it was an old physical address.
I complained that the order should not have been processed based on my PO BOX and that I should have been contacted for a physical address, as according to their own policy, PO BOX's were not allowed for processing orders. However, the company processed the order anyway. Then they stated to me, that even though I had never received a shipment, I was responsible for not canceling the membership after the trial period, even though I was unaware I had a membership. This because I hadn't become aware of any order being processed until well after I discovered the unauthorized bank charges.
To this date, I have made repeated attempts to contact someone regarding a refund and have been told different things, if I am even able to get through. I have never received a refund.
