Walgreens
Deceitful

Great benefits can be very misleading. I was injured on the job and have never dealt with an insurance company directly. I was told by Sedwick, which I found out later was owned by Walgreens, to go to a certain doctor. Against my primary care physicians orders, Sedwick patted me on the back and said go back to work. I thought this was unusual due to the persisting pain in my back, so I acquired a lawyer. The lawyer told me that i could see what ever doctor I like. To make a long story short, I had to make a recorded statement that following Monday. Rachelle asked me basic questions about my injury and then asked who I went to see as far as doctors were concerned. I answered "well I went and saw the one that you had suggested", she seemed very agitated and her next words sounded like a rehearsed statement, "we at sedwick let you see what ever doctor you like". A month later after the lawyer asked me to get the minutes of the recording which is the recording typed out, I was amazed that the section about them pointing out a doctor for me was missing.in the mean time my boss was lying to my district manager stating that I should have returned by now even though I sent in the required work release paper work to the Walgreens location fax number. When my disability was cut off I was having a hard time paying my mortgage. I called my district manager to put in resignation papers with exception that I would come back into my normal position. The reason I asked for this is because I could use my 401k retirement to pay my mortgage. I was startled when my district manager said you can come back as a clerk but not at the EXA status I had worked so hard to achieve. Like I told you earlier my boss (Juan Garcia) was lying to my district manager because he only concentrated on the work release that stated I could come back to work (suggested office from Sedwick) and not the one that came in a day later stating I had a bulged disc. Sometimes in life you are dealt a tougher set of cards and there is nothing you can do about it. My only wish is that there weren't so many deceitful people in this world. Coming from a fortune 500 company you still walk into all sorts of walk of life. I expected a lot more from such a reputable company, but money rules the world.
