I was walking into a CVS in Spring Texas. I was walking at a normal pace, and the two sliding doors started to open, naturally you figure they are going to continue to open. They opened a foot and a half, and I crashed into the door, smashing my knee, the side of my head and it felt like my right arm was ripped off. I did not buy anything and asked for the manager, his name was Joe, and I told him I was in a lot of pain, he suggested I go to the store on spring cypress as they had a full time doctor on duty. I left the store and called the other one, talked to the manager and he told me they never had a full time doctor, they had a nurse, but she wasnt there. I called the store back, Joe assured me the district manager would call me in the morning. Im the morning I could hardly move, it felt like someone had stabbed me in the back, at 5 the next day the store manager called me and said he had to fill out a report. A lady called the next day and said someone from corporate would call me within 48 hours. I asked if I could see a doctor, as I have no medical insurance, they couldnt authorize that, meanwhile Im flat on my back in bed. I called and called the corporate office, no one could help, I e-mailed them. Nov 3 I get an e-mail from some lady that she is pleased the risk management team was in charge. The district manager chuckled when he saw the tape of me running into the door "damn, you hit that hard" and also "we have been having trouble with that door for weeks, it got a bad sensor". What a great way to handle customers. I have an appointment with an attorney today, so I can go to his doctor. Most attorneys said that CVS can erase the tape, however my neighbor was at check out when she heard the crash so I have a witness, she came over to see if I was alright that night.
