When I renovating my house in my general contractor suggested the Whirlpool Duet washer & dryer. I was trying to decide on the dependable but not jazzy Maytag washer and this new product Whirlpool was offering. I was hesistant as I've known Whirlpool to offer other products, such as the refrigerators but not sure about their entry into the washer and dyer market.in the end, I chose the Whirlpool washer and dryer as my contractor pointed out that I would be able to wash and dry a king-size comforter. I regretted within the first year of getting the machines and regret the decision now that the machines are 8 years old. The dryer makes noice like it is a 20-year machine, even after getting it service earlier on. I had to replace the handle on the washer three times already (one every other year) and I've drainage issue on the washing machine from first year and on. I called service for the washing machine about three times already and would need to call service again.
