My friend got a water bill in July and because she is deaf I've been calling the water dept. Unsuccessfully to speak with a rep. Everytime I call either the wait time is 35-45 min or due to high volume they cannot accept my call at this time. I went as far to e-mail them twice with no responce. Once again as in the past, this bill is an estimate and is $480.00. There's no way this is correct! The one time she did get through with the help of the TTY service they first told her if she did not pay they would take her to court or turn off the water. They agreed to send someone out to actually read the meter on 08/23/10. I was there and no one ever showed to the best of my knowledge. Can this be looked into please? I don't feel this is fair for her.
