On october 19 i paid for an item at walmart with my debt card. On december 24 at 4:30PM i returned the item because the person for who i purchased it refused to take it and i needed the cash. When i went to the return desk no one informed me that my money would not be returned or that i could not receive an gift card for t he a mount in question. I was simply informed that the amount would be returned to my debit in about five days. I explained that i needed the money desperately and that i would be willing to take a gift card for the amount in question. I told an assistant manager that no one explained that there would be a delay and with just hours before all stores would be closing on christmas eave that this was putting me in a very bad situation. This should have been explained so that a limeited income person like myself would not have been put in a painful and embarrasing condition christman eve. With no money when i thought that i would have had the returned funds. Especially, for and item that had been purchased two and a half months ago.

Again, thanks walmarts you have made my christmas miserable as hell. I have been a devoted walmart customer for over ten years and ninety five (95) percent of what i purchase comes from walmart; this is why this situation is additionally so painful
