I have had my 2001 Nissian PU serviced at the Firestone complete store in Lacey, WA for the past couple of years. Recently I have noticed that the transmission has been making some noise. So i thought i would change the fluid. I took the truck to my son-in laws home shop where we could put in on the rack to work on it. When i removed the drain plug. Very little fluid came out. I was shocked... I put new fluid in, but at this point the transmission is damaged. To the tune of $1,400.. I looked over all my service slips and the transmission area was always checked as OK... I went to the Lacey Washington Firestone store and they told me, WE DO NOT CHECK THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. My question is why do you check it off then... Like it was checked and ok. Had i known i would have either requested that they check it or i would have checked it my self... I want them to pay for the transmission rebuild...
