Transmission on my 2002 Celica stopped working - Toyota Celica

I took my Celica in to Firestone to have an oil change, tire rotation, wiper blades and transmission fluid change to get ready for winter. A week later my car did not want to shift into Drive; it did after a few minutes. I thought this to be very odd ideed. The problem progressed and I contacted Firestone to be told that there was nothing they could do but "look at it" as they don't service transmissions. I sure wish that they had told me this BEFORE I had the fluid changed! The transmission ceased working and I had to have it towed to a Toyota Service Center where they told me that VersaTrans fluid is never to be used in a Toyota. The fluid was drained & the proper fluid put in the car. Now the Transmission is shifting erratically & shifting hard. Toyota advised that driving the card would be unsafe. Firestone maintains that they did nothing wrong & refuse to replace my transmission.
