Went to Firestone on June 17th to get my oil changed, transmission serviced and complete check of vehicle. Picked up my vehicle that night they did not put the sticker on my window for the oil change that was the first thing that pissed me off. The purpose of me taking my vehicle to them is because I was getting ready to drive to Grand Junction, CO for a concert. The day I leave for the trip my vehicle starts acting funny and shifting weird I pull over at a Mcdonalds and my vehicle is smoking. I get under the vehicle and it has lost alot of fluid after examinig the fluid I determine it is transmission fluid. The whole undercarriage of my car is soaked with transmission fluid. I pull my car over to a shop right next to the Mcdonalds. The mechanic tells me my seal is leaking and my bolts were stripped out. He calls firestone and they said the dropped the pan and put a universal seal on my transmission. They did not use a Nissan Pathfinder seal and did not get my permission to put a universal seal on my vehicle. That shop fixes the leak and tells me that I may have further problems but have to drive the vehicle to determine it it caused any damage by loosing all of the fluid. I go to the concert and get back take my car into Firestone because on the way home from Grand Junction the car is not shifting and acting like the Transmission is having trouble. The idiots that work there tell me that they will turn the issue into the claims dept and I will have to deal with them. They contact me and tell me to take it to a shop and have it diagnosed. I wait almost three weeks and they tell me they are not responsible for the repairs and they cannot help me. They do not back their work and they do not honor their name and the quality of work. They are complete rip offs and I will never do business with them they are very bad for business. My vehicle never had any transmission issues before Firestone touched my vehicle. They do not take responsibility for their actions and their techs are not qualified to do any kind of work. Dont let them touch your vehicle. This has been a complete nightmare!!!
