AC adaptor very Hot

Contact HP support, found out my laptops warranty ended on 7/17. Have been away for a week, returned home today to use personal laptop Pavillion Dx5-1235dx. While charging the ac adaptor tempeture is over 110 degrees to the touch.

I asked the support tech (ticket 8040813742) to let me speak to supervisor / manager to see what consideraton could be made by missing end date of warranty by 3 days.

Was told that they weren't allowed to engage supr or mgr by policy and the only option was to pay for new adaptor, send in for $49 dollars or spend $99 to extend for 1 year.

Extending the warranty based on a significient component failing within 3 days of warranty exporation is great reason to purchase add'tl warranty.

The basic concern based on the heat the adaptor is generating, there doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency or concern it can cause a fire and cause personal injury or property damage.
