If you are considering Verizon Fios please reconsider. I have had them since May and it has been a nightmare ever since. The salesman that sold it to us was great at first. Promising everything under the sun. He stated just call me if you have any problems. Well problem with that is I did call him and he never answered his cell phone, never called me back. It was all just lies to sell the product. I have 3 set top boxes and 1 older tv I just wanted for basic channels. They never told me that I would not be able to view channels unless I use their digital adaptor. After everything was hooked up my older tv went blank, with only a box stating I need to call verizon for a "FREE Digital Adaptor". Well it really is not free. They started charging me 3.99 a month. Once I realized this after looking closely at my bill, trying to get in touch with their customer service was next to impossible. Not to mention I was told on the contract that the 3 set top boxes were going to be 12.99, well after the 3rd month they increased the price to 17.98!!! So now not only am I paying an additional 3.99 a month for the adaptor my set top boxes went up too! I finally got through to the customer service dept and asked for a manager (probably wasn't a manager) and she said that I can not have 2 discounts on one bill. The 12.99 was a discount and the free adaptor was a promotional discount. So choose one or the other. I sent back the adaptor and am waiting to see if my boxes go down to 12.99 again-which I doubt they will. Once my contract is up I am switching to another company. Verizon Fios is nothing by deception.
