I order rugs online they messed up my order so i return them to the kohls store near me. Was told that i would have to take a store credit or wait for a few weeks for them to send me a check. Because i had used my debit card. This is also minus my tax that i paid because on my slip they sent me only had my subtotal on it talked back and forth with the women got no where also thought she was rude ended up with store credit for a large amount of money other wise i would not have said anything about the gift card. Got home and called customer service and was on the phone for a very long time the lady was very nice about things she said that i would receive my credit back to my card within 24 to 48 hours plus i would get the tax that i paid also its now been five days. Even though i was told that this is kohls way of handling debit cards purchases you receive a gift card no matter if you have a receipt or not. Great way to get you to get a kohls card. If they can take money out of my account in 1 day they should be able to put it back in within 48 hours. Sears and jcpenny puts it back in over night i also had to give them the gift card number so it could be cancled which i had no problem with as long as i was getting my money put back in to my account i just got off the phone with customer service again and was told that it would take up to 30 days to receive my refund back to my account
I'm not buying another thing from kohls and would like to inform everyone else of their rules with debit cards.
If you use your debit card or write checks you get a gift card in place of your cash refund. Guess they want to make sure they get your money some how...
