Sale Scam -? You tell me

April 22

Re:

Super Target

7730 W. Commercial Blvd.
Lauderhill, Florida 33351

While shopping inside the Target store located at 7730 W. Commercial Boulevard in Lauderhill on April 22, I brought 4 items that were hanging on a 4 way store rack with a 6 inch by 16 inch Red Sale sign hanging attached above it to the check out counter to purchase. When the cashier scanned these items they did not display any discounted price off of the pre-marked labeling. The clerk advised that these items were not discounted. I requested to speak with the General Manager of the store and a man who previously disregarded my request for assistance stated he was the store Manager, Carlos Sanchez. I asked Mr. Sanchez if he could walk over to the apparel section of which the items were hanging.in this section there is 6 four-way cloths racks all displaying Red Sale Signs but he stated NONE of these items were on Sale. Mr. Sanchez went on to state that the Big Red Sale sign was in fact the reverse side of the product description sign. There were other women patrons shopping near this section and when I asked them if these particular racks appear to be on sale? Both of these patrons believed that these racks were marked "on Sale" but in fact None of the items were discounted. The women went on to state that they have noticed that this store has been doing this same sort of action in other departments within the store. The women went on to state that many times they had this same sort of experience when they arrived at check out they realized the items were not discounted.

Shortly afterwards I telephoned the 800 corporate office number and spent 45 minutes on the phone with Target Client Service Department. I requested to speak to a supervisor or manager several times but I was told they would forward this information over to the Regional Manager. The representative state the person would not be able to contact me since it is not their policy. Since the associate never took my name, phone number or even the information of which store I had visited is quite obvious that I was not the first caller in regard to this issue. Before I departed the store I took photos of their displays with my cell phone. These display is very devious and is deceptive advertising to the public of which Target has no intention of changing.

Respectfully,

Cary Porte
