I shipped a piece of in-house laboratory equipment to a lab equipment company in Colorado for consignment. The piece of equipment was packaged properly, clearly marked fragile and this end up. It was insured for $6000. It arrived damaged, the box was crushed. The original price of the equipment over $10,000 and the company in Colorado lists it on their website for $5900. When I first filed a report with Fedex, they said the package was NOT damaged and the equipment was not damaged. The package was shipped by a reputable shipper who has been trying to get FEDEX to pay for the equipment. It was shipped during the first week of July. My regional FEDEX guy is no longer returning my calls and has not followed through on this matter. I do not know who to contact. The shipper sent 2 letters to the CEO of FEDX. No response after over 2 months
