This company has the biggest rippoff scam in America going on. After reading, and following to the letter, the requirements for requesting the promised rebate of my installation fee for Direct-tv, I have come to be the lateset in what appears to be a big fat LIE/SCAM/FABRICATION/FALSEHOOD/DECEPTION... Oh yeah, / RIPPOFF!!!
I sent the required info, and called (800-395-5899) a month later to check the status of my refund. After getting no where with the customer rep, I spoke with a supervisor who informed me that they were sending me a card requesting more info. I assured her that, after reading the ripoff stories of others on the internet, I was certain that I sent in all the requested info.
The supervisor insinuated that I, along with everyone else complaining about the refund, was was not competent enough to read and follow directions, as it relates to following the rebate instructions. She insisted that I re-read and resend the rebate info. And since I have read the ripoff stories of other customers (sending info over and over), I would not be sending in anymore correspondense.
I told her that I would disconnect and wish them LUCK in trying to collect on the early disconnect fee. Cable just got a whole lot more attractive to me!!! Direct-tv is not worth it. They parade all these half-washed-up actors on TV to promote them, but they and their affiliates are the biggest liar there are!!!
