Do not buy the Sears Protection Plans for appliances. Sears views these as just additional profit. For example, warranty prices for a refrigerator range from $279-$549. And the service response can take a week or more. Sears can and will fire employees for not selling enough of these. During the time I worked at Sears I saw this happen to a number of co-workers.
