I have bought Sears ’s appliances my entire life.in September of I bought 6 appliances from Sears and 3 months after the warranty expired, I have 30% that have quality problems. I spent extra money to buy the ELITE models because I figured my last set of appliances from SEARS last 15 years. And the answer I get is "You should have bought the extended warranty"! If I would have been advised of the quality problems Sears is having with their ELITE appliances, I would have just chosen another brand. BTW - I was disconnected twice by calling customer service and they could not find my paperwork (I bought 6 appliances and how do you mess up a gas stove). I spent two hours dealing with this just trying to get answers and 3 phone calls starting over each time.instead of closing stores, maybe Sears should go back to the old strategy of standing behind their products. I know it sounds old fashion but is did seem to work for years.
