I would like to warn everyone out there who is a customer ofThe Bank of America.
Im a credit card holder of the Bank of America and innearly a decade of being a customer in good standing of the bank who nevermissed a payment I called the bank to inquire about availability of betterbalance transfer offers. I was connected to their credit department and I immediatelyfelt like I was talking not to customer service rep but to an FBI investigator. I wasnt asking for credit increase just looking for a betterbalance transfer deal. Soon, I learned that just by speaking with creditdepartment I was subject to credit history inquiry without giving my consent. This unauthorized inquiry into my credit history compromised my credit rating. Also, the credit department of The Bank of America/FBI agent automatically reduced my credit limiton my credit card. I got off the phone humiliated, hurt and ripped off notmonetarily but in terms of credit ratings and line of credit. This neverhappened to me in 10 years of dealing with the bank. And once again Im acustomer who has never missed a payment and I have been always in goodstanding. It is very sad and unfortunate for this bank to treat theirloyal customers like this.
