2 Hours after I got Magic Jack - Customer Service & billing

Could not call next door, but could call 6 states away. Went to chat, what blubbering idiots. Couldn't understand what I was trying to tell them. If you ask me it is outsourced to India and only uses a chat window so you don't here the accent and get upset because no one understands your problem. But with their level of service you get upset anyway, even if they were in the US.

Had the device two hours, couldn't call locally, asked to change area codes so I could call locally (silly I know) and was told that'd be $10 bucks — I had it 2 hours! Waive the fee! We can't do that.

Can you receive calls she asked, I don't know, can't call my friends with my new number, why don't you call me? Oh, sir we can't do that. HMMMMMMMMMMM a phone company that can't call you. Hmmmmm

So I went to cancel, she asked name/order number / address, last 4 of digits of the credit card... Provided it all, she came back with what are the first four digits as well, I said I am not giving you that because next time it'll be what are the eight numbers in the middle so you can go charge a plate of rice next to the goats and cows (sacred) at your favorite, intimate restaurant.

Okay, I didn't go that far, but don't we all wish someone would?

Just avoid magic jack, like swine flu, and a scorching case of herpes.
