Thisis my experience with Dr. Greenwald I feel I must share with public.in thebeginning of January I had my first visit to his office due to the extremepain I had in my back and sciatica. Doctor recommended surgery and prescribed apain killer (NORCO) alone with muscle relaxant medicine. While being seen bythe doctor in his office he accepted the personal phone call that lingered forat least 5 minutes without any apologies or comments whatsoever, like I was notthere with my pain. I felt hesitant to agree for the immediate surgery andconsulted another doctor for the second opinion. The other doctor recommended ablockade and to wait and see how this treatment will help before using thesurgery.
While waiting for the results of this treatment I ran out of originaland the single refill option for the pain killer medicine (NORCO). Today Icalled my pharmacy to ask for the refill; however they asked me to call thedoctor for the approval of the extra refill, so I did. Today is Saturday, however Dr. Greenwald was on call (lucky me) and receptionist said that thedoctor is going to call me back. When he did, I explained him my situationasking to call the pharmacy. His response was: I do not do refills on theweekends First I thought he is joking and said that my pain does not haveweekends and asked him to take the pharmacy number. He said he is not in theposition to take any numbers. I do not understand what kind of doctor on callit is and why calling the patient without being prepared. Anyways, finally Ihad to ask the pharmacy to call the answering service and to leave their numberso he can call them and at the end he did. I do not recommend anyone to usethis doctor.
