Stuart Allan & Associates, Inc. Ripped off by Bankers Life - Stuart Allan trying to collect money

Bankers Life and Casualty is a terrible company to work for. If you currently have insurance with them you should change companies immediately. They refuse to pay their claims, they make up excuses in not paying their agents, their home office will not help or assist you in any way. The managers are corrupt and they are using a corrupt collection agency to try to cash in on people who worked for them and quit. The branch office I worked at is corrupt and immoral. They also do things that are against the law.

I should have never accepted a job as an insurance agent from Bankers Life and Casualty. That was my first mistake and I realize it is my fault for not performing a better search about their company before hand. Once I was contracted I should have quit immediately after I found out what was going on.

When I was hired they told us new agents that a veteran agent would work with us and help us out so we could make a commission. They had a lot of rules about being there at a certain time and having to stay until a certain time each day in the office. They had a rule on how many appointments they wanted us to have, 8 - 10, on "field days". If I knew more about contracts and how they worked I would have quit then. But they said we just needed to stick it through the first 3 months and then we would be doing better, that we would receive leads and bonuses. All of it was lie. The senior agents helped no one but themselves, they took all the leads and they stole commissions from the new agents. I stayed with Bankers for 8 months, they made a lot of promises to me and the other agents that were never kept. What I did not realize at the time was that the new agents were all disposable and there for the purpose of the managers.

After all the expenses I occurred from having to pay for training, temporary license, state license, gas, meals, wasted time, mailings, advertising, not being paid the correct commission, not being reimbursed, etc, when I left it did not end.

I quit under good standing. I left quietly and did not sway any of the new agents that were there at the time. I did not bad mouth the company or try to bring my clients to a new company. However after a few months Bankers contacted me and told me that I had to pay them money because I had clients cancel their policies and it was to fall on me to pay Bankers the money.

I checked with my clients. Bankers was lying on most accounts, some clients only made changes and did not cancel, however Bankers would not listen. Now they have turned over my name and phone number to Stuart Allan & Associates, Inc. This company is also corrupt and continues with illegal practices. I have contacted them via letter and phone and told them to stop calling me. The manager who left me messages was rude, threatening, and hung up on me 3 different times. They had the wrong information for my name. I am not sure where this will go but I am reporting both Bankers Life and Casualty along with Stuart Allan & Associates for harassment, illegal practices, and wrong doing.

I am not the only one who has been wronged by these companies. All of my previous co-workers were treated the same way and are prepared to stand with me if it comes to a lawsuit. I would urge anyone who has been treated wrongly by either of these two companies to report them to the BBB, Attorney's General in your home state and in Arizona, (Stuart Allan's home state), the Federal Trade Commission, The US Postal Service and any other government agency or consumer advocate organization.
