INTELIUS I was unknowingly signed up for "Identity Protect"

I have used Intelius only once (Sunday, July 19) for telephone and
address searches.
As like many people on this site, I was unknowingly signed up for
"Identity Protect".
I realized it when I got my Oct credit card statement that had the $19.95
charged posted 7/31,8/30,9/30 and 10/29.
I immediately emailed and they replied they canceled my ID proctect but
said nothing about refund. (attached their email below)
As I live in Japan, I never called them as I don't want to spend any
more money for that SCAMMERS!
I also regret myself I didn't search for them before I use their
services...
I would voice my experiences and any rip off or scam report website in
Japan as many as possible, to prevent people from being cheated.

I think US goverment should do something immediately to stop them!

Hello Name, We have canceled the subscription per your request.
The subscription was initiated on 7/18 when a Background report was
ordered on our website. Background reports are usually $49.95. This
price was offered as well as a promotional price of $39.95. Selecting
the promotional price initiated a 7-day free trial subscription of our
Identity Protect Service.in order to avoid the monthly charge, you
would have wanted to cancel the service within the first 7 days. Again,
the subscription has been cancelled and I apologize for the confusion.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the charge for Identity
Protection per the Terms and Conditions of our site that were accepted
at the time of purchase. We will however, be happy to offer you free
search credits equivalent to the Identity Protect charges. Please reply
and we will apply the credit (s) to your account as soon as possible.
