I purchased a brand new home from Legend Homes in 2003. Approximately 6 months after moving into my new home, I noticed large cracks in the brick (in 2004). Early in the year of 2007 (after 3 years and a few months) I discovered several large cracks throughout the interior and exterior of the residence, and cracks throughout the slab. I hired an engineer who conducted an investigation, which revealed the foundation was failing and was experiencing excessive differential movement beyond tolerance. My home has significant evidence of structural distress such as: brick cracks, drywall cracks, joint separation, cracks in the slab, broken windows, and other major distress. My house has sustained major structural damage. It was determined that Legend Homes failed to obtain soil reports of the property, failed to properly compact the soil, failed to design the proper foundation, and constructed the home in a very poor workmanship manner.
