Dwayne white & john schick, reps for the atlanta cattle exchange. Corporate number 877-907-6620. Came to my home on 09/12/09 selling beef & seafood. They brought in a case of both. They showed me the beef at lenght telling me how it surpassed everybody else that sold the same product.
I had bought beef pork & chicken from another company over the years & could see a big difference in size. They told me it was guranteed it for 12 months in my freezer to cook up fresh tasty & juicy every time. The meat I had been getting from the other company was pretty good so I figured I couldent miss especially with a gurantee, so I bought the case.
Then they talked about the seafood with the meat still on the floor in open boxes in front of me. Dwayne pulled out a few boxes of it showing me the whiting & salmon, siting the same gurantee while Jhon was showing me the brochure. The salmon looked great & he showed me some different kinds of shrimp. Dwayne then said oh & it also includes crab & lobster tails. So I bought a case of the seafood to.
We aggreed upon a price for both cases. While I was paying Dwane John started packing it in my freezer they took the money gave me a receipt with the promise to be back the next day with my free lobster tails & crab legs.
After a no show on the 13th with no word on my free box of tails & crab legs I called John asking where my free box was.
He said he had already quit the company & to call Dwayne. I tried to call Dwayne for acouple of days & no answer. So I called the pensacola office & talked to the manager (whom had just started there the day before) I told him I couldent get a hold of dwayne to get my free box of tails & crab legs. He had someone else call Dwayne, low & behold Dwayne answered. He verified that he did promise me a extra box, so the manager told the person talking to him that he was gonna deliver it & Dwayne owed him 15.00 for the box. The manager said he would be at my house no later than the following thursday the 17th.
In the meantime I had a dinner party & cooked up the snapper I thawed it out & got my meal ready. As I was putting it in the buttermilk bath I noticed the skin was seperating from the meat. I told my friend this looks old, but I fried it up anyway thinking it would taste better than it looked, it did'nt. So I started calling pensacola again by now I was getting upset it was the next week & no dwayne & no manager.
I called & called always getting the same thing the voice mail is full so the 3rd of october I called corporate & talked to Linda Robinson in customer service. Right off the bat she acted like I stole from her. I told from start to finish the story & she said that there was no way it was old they flash freeze it fresh, but it might have been freezer burnt did I ever look at the date.
She then went on to grill me about how I cooked the fish. I told her I thawed it out in cold water & buttermilk soaked it then dredged it & fried it. She said well that was the problem from the start. It says right on the box to cook from frozen. I told her that I have been living on the gulf coast near all my life & the only fish I ever cooked frozen was mrs pauls fishsticks, & I never seen the box they took them when John stocked my freezer.
I told her I felt like I was being hustled because of Dwayne being a no show & the new manager saying the same old thing & promising me 2 boxes for my having to wait. She got irate telling me I had no right putting down the people that worked for the company. I told her I had every right to call it as I seen it.
She then said the manager did'nt have the authority to offer another free box so I wouldent be getting that & since I throwed out the snapper it wouldent be replaced either.By then I was pissed & I said tell you what you bring me a case of fresh seafood & my free box & take your freezer burnt old or whatever & replace it with that. She said ok minus the snapper. I said fine.
Then Linda Robinson said in the next several days pensacola will contact you. I said the next several days! How the hell long is that? She said I don't know the next several days.
We hung up...
So here it is the13th of october 10 days later A little after 4pm & I just got off the phone with corporate. I called several times to them & pensacola the voice mail is still full in pcola imagine that.
I was continually sent to Linda Robinsons v, mail after several attempts go get another person I hit another number on the automater getting the receptionist. She said she would put me through to Linda Robinson, I said no not her she is the rudest person I ever talked to.
I told her the highlights of our conversation & that I needed my freezer space back for edible food she said if I remove the food & it goes bad i'm stuck with it.
She said Linda was the only person in that dept, & that I had to talk to her. I said well let me speak to corporate then. She said that Linda was her boss, I said well then she must have a boss too so let me talk to them.
She put me on hold. A few minutes later she came back saying that Linda did'nt remember me so I had to leave a name & number on her vmail & she would call me tomorrow. So I did.
Here it is a month after my first complaint & im being held hostage by a freezer filled with inedible seafood that a company gurantees will be fresh tasty & juicy for 12 months from the freezer, to the table.
What a freeking crock!!!
