I purchased a business 3 months ago. Mark Humbert, a Cincinnati attorney, represented the seller. The seller owed back taxes, workers comp, unemployment and much more. It was clearly stated in the purchase agreement that the proceeds were to be alocated by Humbert to pay all these bills before what monies were left were given to the seller. Humbert did not do this and immediately gave all the money to the seller who did not pay any debts after the close. The state of Ohio wants me to now pay thousands of dollars of this creep's debts. Humbert is an officer of the court and was bound by the legal contract to disperse the monies as spelled out. I am going forward with litigation to not go out of business. My own legal fees are overwhelming. Humbert is a personal friend of the seller. He finds all this funny and acts like I am a winer because I want the legal purchase agreement carried out. I paid the money that was asked for to buy this business. I expected the attorney to conduct business legally as stated in the purchase agreement.
